Phiqual Poynte used to be known as Fecal Point, until detractors took him to task over the disgusting optics concerning his moniker. But ever since changing the spelling, he still remains one of the most reviled music artists to ever emerge from Canada. On the other hand, Europe has been more favorable to the artist, who has contributed recordings to Institute For Alien Research for a number of years

VIDEOS: Mutant Beatniks - Modulor (3:59) Artist info:J Daniel Cramer has been involved in the arts for over forty years, both as a jazz musician and a composer involved in electronic music. With a strong focus on modular synthesis and generative, stochastic programming, J Daniel's You Tube channel has become well known for large complex works that push the boundaries of polyphonic, electronic compositional programming. At the request of well known electronic musician Colin Bender, J Daniel designed his most vibrant piece to date and the seven movement work, The EXODUS, was recorded live in the Netherlands. Wayne DeFehr
Artist info:Wayne DeFehr has received classical piano training through Toronto's Royal Conservatory of Music, wrapping up several years of studies when he noticed that, while prepping for the final exam, his Grade One piano teachers kept quitting. He has since branched out to work in more experimental forms influenced by the sounds of the city, including snow-clearing graters, racing ambulances, and the street crews of the summer. His work has been performed in various parts of the world of Edmonton's experimental music scene to standing room only crowds - where seating is limited to the bathroom and well 3 is technically a crowd. The reviews at the bar after have been reasonable, ranging from - What the . . . - to - How long have you been doing that for ..." Wayne believes sound can bring people together, causing a groundswell, a grassroots movement, regardless of political stripes, based on shared aversion. Not normal music – almost accepted by freaks and other interplanetary travellers.https://www.waynedefehr.com/ |
